Fairview Lakes Rehabilitation provides specialized treatment for people with bone and joint injuries that occur at work. Our specially-trained staff of physical and occupational therapists understand the unique demands of work-related injuries. Our team can help with all stages of a work injury, from prevention to return to work.
Services include:
Ergonomic evaluations/job site analysis: Our staff can assess the work environment and make recommendations for changes to reduce the risk of workplace injury.
Acute injury care: Therapists are trained to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries of the hand, neck, spine, shoulder and knee. We partner with physicians to provide excellent care.
Work conditioning: Based on a thorough evaluation of medical and functional status, a conditioning program is developed to improve function. Job simulated activities and body mechanics are incorporated into the program to aid in a person's ability to return to his/her job.
Functional capacity evaluations: standardized tests are used, when appropriate, to evaluate a person's ability to perform job duties.
Our team works collaboratively with physicians, occupational health nurses, nurse case managers, employers and QRCs to provide care to people with a work injury.
