Pros and cons of weight loss surgery for the treatment of diabetes will be the topic when the Fairview Lakes Diabetes Support Group meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in Conference Room B at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, Wyoming. Speakers Bridget Slusarek, R.N., Joyce Schone, R.D., and Dr. Ikramuddin of the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, will discuss the results of a recent study comparing weight loss surgery and intensive weight loss management in the treatment of diabetes.
